The 2009 Manchester Blog Awards will be held Wednesday, October 21 at 7pm.

This year, The Manchester Blog Awards moves to a grand new home: the newly renovated Band on the Wall, which is situated at 25 Swan Street, at the end of Tib Street in the Northern Quarter.

The awards evening is a popular event and features readings, music and, of course, the largest annual meeting of Manchester bloggers. This year we have managed to secure author Jenn Ashworth as our headliner, and have enlisted the MC services of the fabulous Maria Ruban. For the first time, we’ll also be hosting Blogapalooza, which features the finest city music bloggers streaming live in the mix. Most importantly we’ll be announcing the winners of the 2009 awards. So come along if you’re a blogger, a reader or a curious onlooker – all are welcome.

Tickets are £4 (£3 concs). They will be available on the door or may be booked in advance. You can book tickets here or by calling Ticketline on 0845 2500 500.
